1.      OSG-1000 is the world’s first instrument capable of providing non-invasive qualitative assessment of pearls(Chinese patent number:200610057546.6)

2.      OSG-1000 illuminates the delicate pearls with 1.3 micron infrared light of power as low as 1 miliwatt, making the imaging operation absolutely non-invasive to both operators and pearls. Unlike conventional X-ray imaging, OSG-1000 does not require any radiation shielding.

3.      OSG-1000 works in a non-contact backward imaging mode, making it possible to inspect embedded pearl jewelry.

4.      OSG-1000 displays the fine structure of nacre layer and allows precise measurements of the thickness with 0.03-millimeter resolution.

5.      OSG-1000 is a benchtop apparatus, easy to install and operate, suitable for manufactories, testing agencies, customers and retailers.

6.      OSG-1000 executes measurement one time per second. Customized accessory is available for pearl classification and screening.
